The Honors Jazz Band class is a separate "5th Block" class, that only meets once to twice a week after school from November-May.  To be eligible to perform in the jazz band, students must be enrolled in a band course and be able to play at an advanced level.  There is an application process to be admitted into this course.

Students learn fundamental-advanced concepts of jazz ensemble rehearsing and performing including improvisation.  Performance opportunities including: Winter Production, community events, SC Jazz Band State Performance Assessment , Jazz Tour, spring Band Revue, etc.
